FERRY BOOKINGS
We have been offered preferential rates to travel with P & O Ferries. We are pleased to be able to extend these rates to competitors from Europe travelling to our shows at Bodiam but to obtain these rates bookings will need to be made through our account. Please contact Mary in the Garden of England Office (0044 1580 830710) at least 72 hours before travelling to notify your vehicle licence plate, make of vehicle, overall length of vehicle, number of passengers and dates you plan to travel to and from the show. You will need to give Mary your credit card details so that she can pay for your travel at the time of booking - please either phone, fax or email her these details. We will then send these details to P & O Ferries who will send us a booking confirmation number. The confirmation will be forwarded to you to enable you to check in at the Port.
The fares (including 2 passengers) are :
- Up to 7.50m £79.00 each way
- 7.51m - 12.5m £124.00 each way
- 12.51m - 19m £152.00 each way
All prices exclude fuel surcharge and VAT.
Additional Passengers: £15.00 per person excluding v.a.t.
DOCUMENTATION FOR LEAVING THE UK
When the time comes for you to return home from the UK you will require an Export Licence. Everyone leaving the UK needs an Export Licence even if you have only been here for a day or two. Mary in the office is happy to apply for your licence but will need 7 working days to apply for it. For this we will need the following information:
¨ Name of Horse
¨ Country of Birth
¨ Passport No and issuing authority
¨ Breed of Horse
¨ Sex
¨ Colour
¨ Age
¨ Height of horse in cm’s
¨ Address of premises where horse has been kept prior to coming to theUK
¨ Address of premises the horse is returning to (only if it differs from the above)
¨ Countries of transit on your return
When you leave the UK your Health Certificate (that was issued by your vet before you left home) will need to be stamped by our vet within 48 hours of your departure from th eUK. There is a charge for the vet to visit and sign the Health papers but if you let us know when you are planning to leave we will arrange for the vet to come out.
If you are planning on being away from your home Country for more than 10 days you will need a new Health Certificate issued in the UK for your departure. We can arrange this for you but please let Mary in the office know at least 10 working days before your planned departure date.

CAR HIRE
Anyone wishing to hire a car on arrival can contact the company below. They are on route from the Port to the showground so you can either stop off and collect a vehicle or contact us at the show office and some will arrange to take you there to collect the vehicle. Prices from £35 a day discount for 7 days or more.
