FERRY BOOKINGS
We have been offered preferential rates to travel with P & O Ferries, when booked through Harbour Shipping in Dover. We are pleased to be able to extend these rates to competitors from Europe travelling to our show at Bodiam in July. Please contact us at least 48 hours before travelling to notify us your vehicle registration number, make of vehicle, overall length of vehicle, number of passengers and dates you plan to travel to and from the show. We will then send these details to Harbour Shipping and we will notify you our account number to quote at the port. When you arrive at the Port you will be able to pay for your crossing by cash or credit card. The fares, excluding v.a.t.(including 2 passengers) are:
- 7.00m £118.30 each way
- 8.00m £120.30 each way
- 9.00m £122.30 each way
- 10.0m £125.30 each way
- 12.0m £149.30 each way
- 13.0m £161.30 each way
- 15.0m £185.30 each way
- 16.5m £185.30 each way

DOCUMENTATION FOR LEAVING THE UK
When the time comes for you to return home from the UK you will require a Health Certificate which will need to be stamped by our vet within 48 hours of your departure from the UK. The Health Certificate takes up to 10 days to arrange and we will need the following information to obtain the certificate on your behalf:
- Name of Horse
- Country of Birth
- Passport No and issuing authority
- Breed of Horse
- Sex
- Colour
- Age
- Address of premises where horse has been kept prior to coming to the UK
- Address of premises the horse is returning to (only if it differs from the above)
You will also need an Export Licence which takes up to 7 days to arrange. For this we will need the following additional information:
- Height of horse in cm’s
- Countries of transit on your return
If your final destination is France it will only be necessary to obtain an Export Licence, a Health Certificate is not required.
The licences are issued free of charge but we will have to pay the vet to visit and sign the Health Papers. There will be a nominal charge of £10 per horse to cover this.
We are happy to obtain these licences for you but please ensure that all the above information is faxed or emailed to Mary at least 10 days before arrival at the show to be sure we have enough time to apply for the relevant licences.
